Christingle and Toy service

On Sunday 9th December, the congregation of St.Aidan with St. George held the annual Christingle and Toy service.
Each person was invited to write a prayer on a Card Christingle and hang it on the Christmas tree. The prayers were very profound and numerous, with many joining in.
On the Tuesday evenings leading up to Christmas, members of the congregation met and used the prayers as the basis for our evening prayer sessions.

All the toys gifted at the service have been taken to the Bristol Post for "The Lord Mayor's Christmas Appeal'

Thanks to everyone for your wonderful response.

St George Roll of Honour

At our service today Rev. Jordan Ling dedicated the new St George WW1 roll of honour. We were pleased to welcome some descendants of those brave men whose name appear on the roll. See the gallery for more pictures.

Sadly Donald McKenzie has recently been unwell and is unable to travel from London to play at the Silent Film Night on Saturday evening (13th October) therefore it is with great regret we have to cancel the event. Please accept our apologies.

Please watch the website for further updates.

The Dedication of the St George World War One Roll of Honour.

A new roll of honour will be dedicated during the Eucharist Service on Sunday 21st October at 10.30. This is to replace the original stone memorial that was outside the Parish Church of St George which, sadly, has now been demolished. All are invited to this service in particular any descendants of those brave men listed who lost their lives in pursuit of freedom. Full details of those listed can be found at History / World War One Roll of Honour
